The New Ham Band

The New Ham Band (NHB) was my first band after graduating from UMass Amherst. It consisted mostly of friends from the ham radio community. We practiced in my basement on High Street in Stoneham, MA and a few other basements for about two years (1977-1979), and did one live performance. In January 2026, I dug out some old NHB cassette tapes, digitized them, and posted them here.

The High Street Basement Tapes

Recorded in my basement during the spring and summer of 1979 on a Maxell UDXL II C90 cassette tape. Kudos to Maxell for making a tape with 48 years (or more) of retention.
